We are pleased to announce that our B Division Boys did the school proud by clinching overall 4th position in the 24th National Schools Tenpin Bowling Championship 2017.

The event which took place at Singapore Bowling, Temasek Club, Rifle Range Road, is one of the biggest events of the year for the secondary school bowling league. The B Division boys and girls trained 3 times a week to prepare for this competition and some even had extra coaching during the weekends.
Our B Division Girls have also improved their position from the previous overall 12th to 8th position. Congratulations to our bowlers and may the MF Bowling team soar to even greater heights!

2. For the National Age Group Championships 2017, we are pleased to announce that Liew Jia En clinched the 1st position and won the Gold medal for the Under 15 Boys’ Singles Category while Sarah Qistina clinched the 3rd position and won the Bronze medal for the Under 15 Girls’ Singles category. Salinas Seah and Sarah Qistina also won the Under 15 Doubles event and clinched the Silver medal. They have certainly did the school proud with their achievements!

On Tuesday 24th January 2017, the MF Bowling team organised a friendly match with Yishun Town Secondary School at Orchid Country Club. The two schools had a good time interacting. It was also an excellent learning opportunity for the two schools. This platform has also helped the students prepare for the upcoming bowling championships.

3. Semester 1 Games Day! Chinese New Year Lo Hei!

During Chinese New Year, the team put together a Lo Hei session. Coaches, teachers and students tossed the Lo Hei together as high as they can ushering the New Year in high spirits. May the session bring in good luck for the upcoming competitions!
Semester 1 Games Day!
On 7 March 2017, the students participated in a Games Day session. It was an eventful session where the MF Bowlers got to enjoy each other’s company playing games like Frisbee, Powerball, Captain’s Ball and throwing water balloons to cool off the mid day heat!

4. Farewell Party For Our Sec 4/5 Bowlers!
After their Games Day on 7 March, the kids proceeded to Thomson 800 Condominium function room for the Sec 4/5 Farewell Party. Haiqel and Ying Jie, the current captain and vice-captain officially handed their posts to the newly appointed captain and vice-captain, Zhi Yi and Ryan Siah respectively. The seniors will definitely be missed but we wish them all the best for their future endeavours. Good luck and may you guys excel in the GCE ‘N’ and ‘O’ Level examinations!
