Reminders: Get to bed on time or by 8:30
Be to school on time (Test start at 8:40) Eat a good breakfast Need #2 Pencil (I’ll provide some) Bring a jacket (Can’t control temperature) Bring a highlighter

Testing Tips Cross out all answers that don’t make sense
Reread question three times Double check (You’ll have time to retake entire test) Circle answer in book I Can do it!

Study Go over all testlet at home again
Practice reading a page story and telling main events Look at words in bold Think about questions that ask for “best” title No more EXCEPT questions!

Math Know how to use all graphs Use scrap paper and calculator
Think about key words and if there are two part (multi-step) Know names of shapes

Reading There will be poems, recipes, articles, stories, and advertisements to read and answer question about Read questions first REREAD Use Highlighter

Food for Thought There are 44 questions on ELA Reading EOG so students have to get 34 questions correct to score a 3!

Test Anxiety Be Positive! Take deep breaths Stretch
Set goal (A test is just a way to “show off”)

Runner Strategy R-read the title and predict what the text will be about U-underline the important words in question N-Notice numbered paragraphs N-Now read the selection E-Engage with the text by annotating R-Reread the question and eliminate wrong answers S-Select the best answers and prove it!
