December 5, 2017 Standards and Objectives Unit: World Wars, W.23 – Evaluate and analyze the role of political and economic rivalries, ethnic and ideological conflicts, domestic discontent, disorder, propaganda, and nationalism in mobilizing the civilian population in leading to the outbreak of World War I. Objectives: I can analyze the role of several factors that led to the outbreak of World War I.

Governments created propaganda. Information used to influence opinion. Encourage support of the war. Posters, pamphlets, and articles distributed. Urged people to volunteer Portrayed the enemy as brutal

December 5, 2017 Propaganda In groups or individually you will create a piece of propaganda. It can relate to sports, politics, books, movies, video games, TV shows, social media apps, etc. BE CREATIVE!! Look at propaganda posters from World War I for inspiration. When you are ready, pick up a couple pieces of paper and some colored pencils. If we do not finish we will finish up next class.
