Status of Project Construction: Path to completion
Progress to completion: 90% Magnet complete Stand for SHMS Platform required Design completed(?), construction? Path to completion Test water flow Continuity tests done? Map magnetic field at 20% strength Mapper construction 90% complete Hall Probes available at ODU & JLab Software to control mapper motion and record data complete Move to Hall C and map field at full strength Estimated completion time August 2019 (pending access to Hall, power, cooling, etc) January 28, 2019 NPS C. Sweeper Magnet to-do list
Raise magnet 8-12 in (match to design for stand) Fabricate Hall-Probe Bracket Bring mapper to Test Lab for “dry-run” without magnet power. Return to ODU for any adjustments/refinements Energize magnet in Test Lab Establish safe field perimeter What are protocols for user control? Map field in sweep-gap and beam-gap Transfer magnet and power supply to Hall C Energize to full field and map, especially in beam-gap. January 28, 2019 NPS C. Hyde
