I begin my “camouflage day” by showing the following sign as the students enter the room. If I don’t give a warning of some sort I have students blirting out that there is a gecko here or there and it ruins the fun. I give the student that finds the most geckos a piece of candy. As they hunt for geckos after the powerpoint “quiz” I have them write down the color and location of each in their journal.

If you see anything out of the ordinary today in my room (ANYTHING) keep it to yourself. We will use the info later this class period. It may be worth your while to keep all info to yourself – think candy…
