Directions Decide roles for each person in the group:
2 presenters: first debater and rebuttal presenter 2 researchers 1 note-taker and poster creator As a group come up with one main argument and at least two textual supports for that argument. If you have more time, come up with more textual supports. Each group will have 2-3 minutes to make their first argument. Each group will then have 2 minutes to come up with a rebuttal. Groups will then have 1 minute to share their rebuttals.

Rules: We don’t want this debate to end up like the town meeting in the play! DO NOT completely shut down each other’s ideas. “You’re wrong!” “That’s stupid!” “Did you even read the play!” Correct: I can see you’re point, but this is what I think.

Main Argument: Which is most responsible for what goes wrong in the town? Money/Greed Democracy Propaganda/Journalism Environmental issues Uninformed Public Tom’s Ineffective Communication Family Relationships
