Congressional Staff Personal Staff – gather information, arrange meetings, write speeches, etc. Committee Staff – every committee has staffers that work on bills for that committee. They draft bills, gather information, and have expertise in certain areas Support Services

Support Services Library of Congress – one copy of every book printed in the U.S. Congressional Research Service – part of the Library of Congress. It keep up with all of the bills that are in Congress. General Accounting Office – conduct investigations into finances. It makes sure that taxes are spent correctly.

3 Major Jobs of Congressman
Make Laws Casework – help the people in their district in dealing with the federal government. Helping District or State – help get federal money for local projects (like bridges, post offices, etc).
