Homework Check Everyone should have their homework out.
Resource Managers grab answer keys for each member of your team. Shoulder partners should share and discuss as you correct your homework. Reporters/Recorders take note of any questions the team might still have even after going through the answer key.

Lesson 6.4.1 Lesson Objective:
Students will review each strategy for solving systems of linear equations and choose the best strategy. Students will learn that all methods should produce the same result but that some methods are more efficient based on the form of the equations given in the system.

Problem 6-112 Facilitators lead your teams through Problem on page 347 of your book. Read the problem out loud or have someone read it while everyone in the team follows silently. Write your answers on the resource sheet to earn your stamps.

Problem 6-113 Pencils down at this point. Facilitators lead your teams through Problem Read the problem out loud or have someone read eat while everyone in the team follows silently. Discuss the problem with your team for a couple of minutes. Then, decide which methods work best for each problem. Make sure you record your answers on your resource sheets to earn your stamps.

Problem 6-114 Facilitators lead your teams through Problem on page 348 of your book. Use the methods you determined in problem 6-13 to answer the problems. We will do a Carousel where each group works on the problem for 1 minute then passes it on to the next group. Then, we will do a Travelling salesman where one person from each group travels to the next table until all problems are done.

Learning Log In your Learning Log, summarize everything you know about solving systems of equations. Include examples and explain each method. Title this entry “Solving Systems of Equations” and include today’s date.
