2. LATL- Looking at the LEJ
We will look at the Legislative Branch of Government in Georgia
Have some directed responses to give it to you in another way

4. BIDTTF-Break it down to the Floor
The Legislative body in Georgia is called the General Assembly is broken down into two floors
House of Reps: 180 elected members for two year terms
Senate: There are 56 members who vote on the bill directly before the Governor signs the bill into a law

5. CAI- Committees are Important
Proposal is introduced
Committees work with the bill and tweak it
The bill is voted on in the House
Committees slightly tweak it again
Senate vote on the bill
Governor either signs the bill or Vetoes it

6. WTLLL- What the Laws look like
The General Assembly meet from January to February
While the assembly is not in session bills are created to be introduced in the next session
The session looks at public works, criminal matters, and reapportionment

7. SAT- Searching another Text
I want you to answer the following questions found in the text (pages )
What house and senate district is Conyers found in?
When was the general assembly reorganized into two houses?
Who is the head of each of the houses and how are they elected
How do they organize how senate and house districts are drawn in Georgia?
What are the different forms of committees found in the general assembly
Compare Budget Revenues and Expenditures
Who creates counties and cities in the state of Georgia? Also how do they do it?
