2 Historical Factors China is based off of five main eras.
The Xia Dynasty from BC. This was also known as the Early Bronze age. The imperial era from 221 BC-1912 AD where China was unified as one under the Qing dynasty The Republic of China era was from 1912 to 1949 Now we are in the modern Chinese era which has lasted from 1949 to present day

3 Cultural Factors One of the worlds oldest Cultures tracing back thousands of years There are 56 recognized ethnic groups in China Standard Mandarin is the official spoken language for the mainland of China For religion there are “three teachings”: Confucianism/Taoism/Buddhism Family is a key factor of Chinese culture Food is another famous Cultural factor in China

4 Social Factors In Ancient China social classes from top to bottom were Scholars and landlords/Farmers/Artisan and Craftsmen/Merchants and Traders China has grown from outside of Asia to become a world power With relationships it has built with other countries their international business has boomed The market is large, the cost of labor is very low, and there is still so much potential in the country due to the size of it Country has become very technologically advanced Some issues can be accredited to loss of faith in Chinese system and traditions The loss of faith can be seen in chart where Chinese people believe there is too much foreign influence

Between 1949 and 1976 Mao zedong lead China’s Communist party (CCP) Introduced Central planning of industry Great Leap Forward Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution The 1978 political/economic reforms began China’s extreme economic growth Price reform State owned enterprise (SOE) reform Open Door Policy/The socialist market economy Three Gorges Dam World Trade Organization (WOT)

6 China’s Economy Today Second largest economy by nominal growth domestic product (GDP) From , China’s real GDP grew annually by an average of 9.7% China is the Largest export economy in the world Some of china’s Top Exports include: Broadcasting equipment Computers Gold Cars Crude Petroleum

7 Analysis of Politics in Transition: Early 1900s
Around 1911, China was still Feudalistic, run by the Qing Dynasty Ruled by an Emperor Main export was food of sorts Also exported cotton and clothing Ended after many wars and famine leading to poor economics Last Emperor was Puyi

8 Post Dynasty Days After the Qing, China became a Nationalist state
Discovered communism from the Soviet Union 1923 starts to get advice from the Bolshevik party Chiang brought it more doctoral 1934, a communist party starts to spread, CCP 1949, The People’s Republic of China Centralized everything
