2. Explanation of Concept
Pattern: repeated designs or repeated sequence.
Function: A function is like an input/output machine. When you put a number in a different number comes out because the number that goes in get times and another one comes out.
Algebra: The part of math is the relations between known and unknown numbers.

The student will recognize, create, and extend numbers and geometric patterns, using concrete materials, number lines, symbols, tables, and words.

6. Key Words: Equal: is when two sides or things have the same value.
Variable: A symbol like x or y that use in math that stand for a changeable number.
Sequence: in the order it connected, related, or dated .
Coefficient: The number in front of the variable. It tells you how many of the variable to consider.
Ex. 8x means 8 times X
