4. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Information and Communication Technology is the process by which various electronic technology involves in the Storage, Transmission, Manipulation and Securely retrieve information
Electronic Communication System is the arrangement of various electronic components on a circuit board, so as to give maximum output with the use of electricity.

5. CLASSES OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
There are two classes namely;
Digital System
Analogue System
Digital Communication System
It processes information in the form of coded numbers i.e Discrete digits ( 1’s and 0’s). It offers greater efficiency. It has a square wave form of transmission.

6. Advantages of Digital Technology
Less expensive.
Easy to manipulate.
It is flexible.
Compatible with other digital systems.

7. Disadvantages Sampling error.
Sometimes quickness of digital communication is harmful as messages can be sent with the click of a mouse.
It is unreliable as messages cannot be recognized by signatures software, it can easily be hacked.
It has made the whole world to be an office.

10. Analogue Communication System It processes information in form of continuous signal, data transmission is done at a slow speed. It uses electrical impulses to emulate the audio waveform of sound. The signal used is Amplitude Modulation Radio signal. It has a sinusoidal wave form of transmission.

11. Advantages It is more easy to generate. Easy way for communication.
Improved noise immunity and lower power consumption.

12. Disadvantages It is difficult to transmit. Devices are expensive.
Accuracy is less.

Analog signal is a continuous signal which represents physical measurements.
Digital signals are discrete time signals generated by digital modulation.

Analog is denoted by sine waves
Digital is denoted by square waves
Representation
Analog uses continuous range of values to represent information.
Digital uses discrete or discontinuous values to represent information.
