Started in the Southern colonies of America during the Colonial period
It traveled across the States along with the pioneers
Colonists began to build their houses with this style more often because they became extremely wealthy
One of the most popular residential house styles and can be found all over the U.S.
Aspired to be an Ancient Greek Revival
A large, 2-3 story house
Materials: Molding, brass, columns and a brick walkway
This style focuses heavily on symmetry, and use of white/tan in order to give off a rich regal feeling

3. Style Symmetry: Both sides are the same, centered roof
There is always a use of columns
