1 Important Space Info MCAS Bootcamp: Day 6

2 Random Fact: What is the Earth’s average distance from the sun (in Miles). 92,955,888 Miles

3 Organization Our Moon: PlanetsSolar SystemGalaxyUniverse
There are billions of galaxies. Every galaxy has billions of stars. Our Moon: Much less gravity Basically zero atmosphere (No air) Has large mountains and craters

4 Our Solar System Smaller planets/moons have less gravity.
No atmosphere (gasses/clouds) = very hot days and very cold nights. Also causes craters. Closer to the sun = shorter years Called orbit or revolution Faster spinning on axis = shorter days Called rotation

5 What Makes the Earth Special?
We have a thick atmosphere with lots of oxygen. We have plenty of liquid water. We retain a perfect amount of heat. (Not too much during the day or too little at night.)
