Resumes What is a resume?
A resume or curriculum vitae is an objective summary of your education, experience, certification and skills. When do people send a resume? A resume is sent by a job seeker to a prospective employer. What does a resume include? A resume should be short and simple. Every sentence starts with an active verb and includes keywords

Categories Chronological order (starting with oldest first)
Reverse-chronological order (starting with newest) Functional (sorted by category -> date)

Length and sections Resumes are generally one page at most in length
They are divided into a header and body.

Use active verbs at the beginning of each line

Write your own resume Use lots of active verbs (NOT passive)
Your current job/education must be in the present tense Your previous jobs/education must be in the past tense Give at least two references (names, contact info, titles) Write two lines about your university, high school, middle school, and elementary school education (total 8 lines) Write three lines about a part-time job/volunteer work Write two lines about three different skills (6 lines) Make sure you include an objective (> 2 lines)
