How to reflect on your learning Reflect! Stop and think! What? So what? Now what? What happened? What did you do? What did you learn? What did you see? What did you hear? What was important about that? Why? What was interesting about that? Why? What does that tell you or make you feel? What next? What can be done about this? Who can do it? What can you do? This slide does not work at all! Take a look at the next slide which I have added as an alternative! Adapted from Tony Borton’s Model of Reflection 2

Be kind and fair to yourself!
Assessment in CSPE All schools and teachers have their own way of assessing! You should be able to assess yourself too and this is a guide for you. SELF-ASSESSMENT Exceptional: Work of a very high standard. Not necessarily perfect. Genuine effort has been made. Above expectations: Work of very good quality. Some aspect of the work needs attention but on the whole it is of a high standard. In line with expectations: A good piece of work with a good understanding of the task. Well presented. No major errors. Yet to meet expectations: Work that falls short of the basic level expected. The task has not been grasped clearly. Major mistakes. Limited or no effort. Adapted from NCCA, 2017 Be kind and fair to yourself! 6
