8. EST = Electroshock Therapy
A treatment for serious mental illness. The application to the head of an electrical current to induce a seizure.

9. BAL = Blood Alcohol Level
Amount of alcohol found in a persons bloodstream.

10. TIA = Transient Ischemic Attack
Ministroke. A temporary blockage of blood to the brain, causes dizziness, numbness, impaired vision, unconsciousness

11. MVA = Motor Vehicle Accident

12. OCD = Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
A person with OCD cannot control their fearful or worrisome thoughts. May control this by repetitive behavior.

13. ADHD = Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
A common behavioral disorder that affects 8 to 10% of the population, mostly boys; They act without thinking, cannot sit still.

14. MRI = magnetic resonance imaging
A MR scanner to obtain
Detailed sectional images
Of the body.

15. A machine that makes a xray of a section of the body.
CT = Computerized Tomography

16. PET = Positron Emission Tomography
Using a Pet Scan. PET Scanner.

17. AD = Right ear

18. AS = Left ear

19. AU = Both ears

20. OM = Otitis Media

21. ENT = ear, nose, throat
