2 What changes did it bring?
Divides North and South Missouri and Maine are added

3 How did it solve problem?
To keep balance states were suppose to be admitted in pairs (free and slave)

4 What territory added to slave?
Missouri Arkansas & Florida territory

5 What territory added to free?
Maine Unorganized and Michigan

6 What did South gain/lose
Gain = Promise slavery would continue to exist south of the line Lose = access to farm land in the Great Plains (but thought that was bad farming land)

7 Why would South look to land in MX?
Need land to expand into, think Great Plains has poor farm land and MO compromise prohibits slavery in the North

8 Why JQA fear compromise?
Think just a temporary solution to much bigger problem
