Powers of a King (absolute monarchy)
A king is selected by God or some other divine being He rules over the people in a manner that can be good or bad. A king does not have any formal limit to his power (no checks and balances)

Powers of a King (cont.) A king has complete control of the legislative, executive, and judiciary branches because he is each of those branches As a result, a king can declare war, raise taxes, pardon people or sentence them to death
