What we will be covering
IEP RTI Idea Inclusion and Pull-Out First, and foremost, I would like to express to the parents that I am on there side and let them know if there is anything I can do I am here for them. All the information that I am about to relay to them is there to help them.

Individualized Education Plan (I. E. P)
An I.E.P is an educational plan specifically for your Childs needs Following is a list of concerns that may lead to a referral: * developmental milestones are delayed * speech and language delay * suspected hearing loss * suspected visual loss * health concern or physical disability * emotional / social concerns(2014 Henderson School) This is a plan specialized to a child's needs so we can make a specialized plan for each individual child, because not every child learns the same or at the same pace.

Response to intervention(RTI)
for identifying students with learning disabilities. Distinctions of RTI from earlier pre-referral processes include universal screening, evidence-based interventions, multiple tiers of intervention that are increasingly more intense, frequent progress monitoring, and fidelity of implementation. (Zerkell,2011) This helps in identifying children with disabilities I have also included the different tiers and how the process goes.
5
Individuals with disabilities Education act (IDEa)
This states that all children and youth have the right to free and appropriate education. Identification FAPE- free appropriate education Due process Parent/guardian/surrogate consultation LRE least restrictive environment Individualized education program (IEP) Nondiscriminatory evaluation Confidentiality Personal development in-service These are all the things offered through IDEA. I would be sure and go over all the meanings and answer any question the best that I could.
6
Inclusion or pull-out Inclusion- Is when you teach the child with disabilities in there own environment such as the classroom Pull-out- when you take the child out of the classroom and offer help in a room such as the resource room, which is a room with less students so the resource teacher and child can get more one on one. When I get to this slide, I will explain that there are different options for there Childs learning.

Reflection This power-point was exciting and educational on my part. Even though I had read the chapters I really was not quite sure what these definitions were. So I found it very interesting and I liked how I was able to get more in- depth with the definitions. I chose these topics because I feel that if I had a child who had special needs, I would want all the information possible. I would like to know all the options I had available and be sure that the school that my child attended, was able to provide all this. I feel what I provided on the power point is what offered great information and was very self explanatory. I look forward to feedback and hope I did well. I also hope you enjoy it. My thoughts on my power point.
