2. Aims of Evening
For pupils and parents/carers to have a clear understanding of the World of Work in 2017 and in the future
To emphasise the importance of developing sustainable transferable employability skills
To clarify the different routes to employment and the pathways involved
To assist with self-reflection, tracking and target setting for individuals
Parity of esteem for all pathways and aspirations

3. Focus for the Evening
Aimed primarily at S3s with older students also invited to attend.
ALL S3s are expected to come to this very important event as this will help with career planning aspects such as work experience, volunteering, subject choices and contingencies.

4. Format of Evening Short introductory session in the Assembly Hall
Business representatives from across a range of sectors will be located at stands in the refectory and available to discuss a range of relevant aspects including, skills, qualities, qualifications, career decisions and journeys, training, challenges and rewards.

5. Prompt Sheet
You will be given a list of questions before the evening that will help you get the best information, for you individually, from the people you are speaking to.
