2. What is a “travel brochure”?
A travel brochure is a handout or pamphlet you might receive if you are planning a trip somewhere.
Travel brochures are non-fiction, because they are written about a REAL place.

3. Purpose: to inform
Travel brochures include information, pictures, and descriptions about the destination you’re going to. They might include:
Photos of beautiful scenery or fun activities
Maps of the area
Lists of activities available at your destination
Facts or statistics about the area (who lives there, what kind of restaurants or hotels there are, animals that are indigenous to the area)
Coupons or discounts to local businesses or attractions
