A form has height, width and depth, and is 3-dimensional.
In 2d art we create the illusion of form by using perspective or shading and modeling techniques

There are two main types of texture:
Real texture- the way the surface of an object actually feels. Implied (visual) texture This type of texture is used by artists when drawing or painting. Third type- invented/creative texture which is basically just patterns or contour lines

COLOR is perceived when light hits and reflects off of an object.
Three properties of color are Hue (name of a color), Intensity (strength of a color) and Value (lightness or darkness of a color).

refers to the lightness or darkness of a color.
VALUE refers to the lightness or darkness of a color. Value gives objects depth and perception.

There are two types of space:
Positive space refers to the actual subject matter in a work of art. Negative space refers to the space around and between the subject matter.
