CELL AND BATTERY THE CELL IS DEVICE WHICH CONVERTS CHEMICAL ENERGY IN TO ELECTRICAL ENERGY. THE CELL HAS STARED OR POTENTIONAL FROM OF ENERGY. DUE TO THE PROPERTY OF STORING OF ENERGY THE CELLS ARE USED AS EMERGENCY ELECTRIC SUPPLY SOURCE AS WELL AS ELECTRIC SUPPLY SOURCE IN REMOTEAREAS.

SOME BATTERY CAN RECHARGE. THE CELL ARE CARRIBLE HENCE CAN BE EFFECTIVELY USE REMOTEAREAS. CELL IS STORED BY A ELECTRIC ENERGY.

COMBINATION OF CELL WE CAN COBINE TWO OR MORE CELL TO FORM A BATTERY . THIS COMBINATION CAN BE OF TWO FORMS. SERIES COMBINATION . PARALLEL COMBINATION.

SERIES COMBINATION THE COMBINATION OF CELL IN WHICH THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF ONE CELL GETS CONNECTED WITH THE NEGATIVE OF NEXT CELL, THIS COMBINATION FORMS A CHAIN TYPE STRUCTURE . IN THIS COMBINATION THE TOTAL VOLTAGE IS TAKEN OR CALCULATED ACROSS FOR TERMINAL OF CELL ONE AND FOR TERMIAL OF LAST CELL.(AS SHOWN IN DIAGRAM THE OUTPUT VOLTAGE IS TAKEN FROM POSITIVE TERMINAL OF CELL ONE AND NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF CELL N.) IN SERIES COMBINATION THE OUTPUT VOLTAGE INCREASES WITH NUMBER OF CELL ADDED TO THE COMBINATION .THE FORMULA OF TOTAL OUTPUT VOLTAGE VTOTAL = V1+ V2+ ……+VN (TOTAL OUTPUT VOLTAGE )=(VOLTAGE OF CELL ONE ) +CELL 2+CELL N.

IN PARALLEL COMBINATION THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF ONE CELL GETS CONNECTED WITH POSITIVE TERMINAL OF NEXT. CELL AND SIMILAR HAPPENS WITH NEGATIVE TERMINAL.
