5. Why does Faulkner tell the story the way he does?
He COULD have presented the story in chronological order, but he did not. Why?

6. What is up with the title of the story?
Why a “rose”?
Why not for “Miss Emily”? She’s always referred to in that way.

7. “The title was an allegorical title; the meaning was, here was a woman who has had a tragedy, an irrevocable tragedy and nothing could be done about it, and I pitied her and this was a salute ... to a woman you would hand a rose.” - Faulkner

8. Who, exactly, is the narrator?
