Character Syllables: char-a-cter (3)
Definition: a person, animal, or thing in a novel, play, or movie. Examples: Harry Potter Cinderella Percy Jackson Non-Examples: Setting Plot Point of view

A character is any person (or person-like thing) represented in a piece of literature.
Every story features at least one character. Characters are usually people, but can be animals or things, like gods and goddesses in myths or pigs the fairy-tale, “The Three Little Pigs”.
