Look back over page 3 of your booklet and remind yourself of your strengths.

3. What do we get sometimes from other people that makes us feel good?
Compliments!
Select one member of the class to leave the room.
Once they are outside the classroom each member of the class including the teacher is given a small card or piece of paper.
On it each member of the class has to give the pupil who has left the room a compliment. Remember

4. What is a compliment
A compliment is a positive comment about someone else such as...
Good singer, nice hair, nice eyes, fast runner, good friend, funny, good at telling jokes, very clever, nice writer, great dancer.
It doesn’t matter if you are friends with the individual or not you can always find something positive to say about someone.

5. How many compliments do you normally get in a day?
Get them back in!
When the volunteer comes back in the room ask them:
How many compliments do you normally get in a day?
Most of us get 2 or 3 on average but today is their lucky day as they have _____ compliments to take home.

6. Make your own compliments box
The idea of the compliments box is that every time you get a compliment you write it down and put it in your compliments box.
Why would you do this?
Has anyone ever had a bad day?
When you are feeling down or sad get all your compliments out and read them – guaranteed to make you smile and feel better.
You can buy a box or make one out of a shoe box or a cereal box and decorate it any way you want.
