Word of the Day: Abhor My grandfather always abhorred getting a new, young colleague because he felt they didn’t know anything. Abhor (verb) means to extremely hate or dislike someone or something. Syn: hatred, disgust, repulsion, scorn

Man vs Man One character has a problem with one or more of the other characters.

Man vs A character has a problem with some natural occurrence: a snowstorm, an avalanche, the bitter cold, or any other element of nature. NATURE

Man vs Society A character has a problem with some element of society: the school, the law, the accepted way of doing things, etc.

Man vs self A character struggles with himself over what to choose.

Man vs Technology A character has to confront technology or other elements of human creation (as opposed to natural or divine creation).

The Supernatural Man vs
A character has to deal with something out of the ordinary that doesn’t follow “human” laws (ghosts, vampires, Phantoms, etc).

Man vs FATE A character has to battle what seems to be an uncontrollable problem. Whenever the problem seems to be a strange or unbelievable coincidence, fate can be considered the cause of the conflict.
