11. What is Active Reading…
Some call it close reading, some call it annotating the text.
Whatever it is called, the act is to tear into a text, consume it and at some point regurgitate what it is you have just read.
This is done by asking questions of the author and commenting on the different bits of information and or evidence he/she presents.
Use iPad as doc camera and move through first two paragraphs as a class. Then assign them the rest of the article on their own.
