4 Quote Analysis-Sample response
As one may infer, George suggests to Lennie that Lennie is constantly getting the two of them in trouble and George is the one who has to bail them out. Steinbeck is purposefully showing his readers that George Milton is the brains of the duo and Lennie, although he means well, is a burden George must carry. This is a significant part of the story because Steinbeck foreshadows conflicts that we as readers may not realize, but will eventually read about later on in the story to better understand the complex, yet realistic, characters in Of Mice and Men.
