HOB WebSecureProxy (basic concepts) A trip into the HOB RD VPN 2.x .elements – Admin Portal 7.2.1 System: This screen shows information about the edition of HOB WebSecureProxy that is currently installed on the system. As well as the installed version of the HOB WebSecureProxy, this screen shows the process ID of the current installation and for how long it has been running. 7.2.2 Gateways: […] The Gateways screen shows details about the gateways for the administration access and for the user portal. The information shown includes the numbers of the ports being used by the gateways, their configurations and the status of the connections to the gateways. 7.2.3 Users: Here a list of all the users that are currently logged on to the system is displayed. 7.2.4 Connections: This dialog is used to review the currently established connections, and to disconnect those that are not in use. 7.2.5 Logs: […]The logging dialog […] displays the log of activity for the functioning of machines that were recently or are currently active, and the communication between them. 7.2.6 Tracing: This dialog displays the configurations for tracing. A trace is the tracking of all stages of a communication, along with the protocols used by that communication. 7.2.7 Services: This dialog displays the plugins that are currently installed on the server and allows them to be monitored. […]. 7.2.8 EA-Admin: This link launches the HOB EA Administration (HOB EA Admin) interface […] Here the domains and their resources can be administered, and also the HOB WebSecureProxy can be configured using this interface. 7.2.9 Backup: This feature allows the data contained within the system directory service to be exported to a backup file location. (justo local database) Certificates: This feature is where the system certificates are managed. These are the security certificates that are used to authenticate each element of the system. Updater: This feature is where updated versions of existing files can be uploaded and installed. Backup files can also be uploaded this way. Extensions: This feature allows the install tools for the following extensions available for HOB RD VPN to be downloaded. Extensions are extra features or functionalities that are delivered with this installation of HOB RD VPN, but are not automatically installed. VDI WSP, Wake-on-LAN Agent for Windows, Wake-on-LAN Agent for Unix/Linux, WTS Load Balancing, Security Manager for Windows, Security Manager for Unix/Linux, Security Manager for Apple OS X, Anti Split Tunnel, PPP Tunnel for Unix

4.- Working with users, groups and roles Global Admin vs Domain Admin WSP Component is enabled Users domain Global Administrator This global administrator has full access rights to the complete HOB RD VPN installation. Global administrators are the only users that can administer and configure HOB RD VPN itself and are the only users that can log on to the global administration portal. Domain Administrator Global Administrator HOB Super User Internal Domain (admin) This picture shows the Global Administrator viwew 2.7 Global Administrator vs. Domain Administrator A clear distinction must be made between the administrator of the complete system where HOB RD VPN is installed (the global administrator) and an administrator who has rights to administer only one domain (the domain administrator). Domain Administrator A domain administrator cannot set the configuration of the HOB RD VPN installation. The domain administrator can only configure user settings within their own domain (dc=hobsoft)
