Anything that has mass and takes up space.
The physical properties of matter are size, shape, texture, odor, and state.
Matter can be observed in three different states: gas, liquid, or solid.

The measure of the pull of gravity on an object

3. The further away an object is from the center of Earth (gravitational pull) the less the object will weigh.
However, the mass of an object does not depend on the gravitational pull.

Any sample of matter can be described by its physical properties: color, shape, texture, luster, and density
Density describes how much matter is in a given space, or volume. The density of a substance determines whether it will float or sink in water.

Is a characteristic of matter that can be observed only when matter is changed into a new kind of matter such as burning, rusting or tarnishing, exploding, or changing of color.
Chemical Properties refers to how matter reacts with air, water or heat.
