Volunteerism
The programs of Keep Martin Beautiful provide imaginable solutions for volunteers to make a great impact in their communities through their own time and effort . These efforts help reduce the waste through public and private organizations and strategic alliances motivate and encourage the people and communities to clean up, embellish and improve their environment. Making c a safer and more livable Maretin County.

3. Mission Statement…
Founded in 1994, Keep Martin Bautiful is a non-profit volunter- based, community action organization based in Martin County, Florida.
Their mission is to preserve and enhance the quality of life in their community of Martin through:
Litter Prevention.
Waste Reduction.
Beautification and Community Improvement.
AND…
Environmental Stewardship Education.

4. Programs and Activities…
Environmental Stewardship Awards ~
Is a way to recognize and reward notable efforts within the community to promote environmental stewardship and innovation through education and action. Nominations are currently being accepted in the categories of Nonprofit & Civic Groups, Youth & School Groups, Business & Professional, Government Agencies and Unsung Hero. Projects can range in focus from Litter Removal and Prevention activities, Recycling, Beautification and Neighborhood Revitalization, to other Innovative Projects such as green building, energy efficiency and environmental initiatives.

International Coastal Cleanup (ICC)
Is a popular,fun,and highly visible event in Martin County. It basically cleans up the whole town making it bautiful. In 2011,over 2,000 volunteers in partnership with sponsors and other supporters made our local cleanup a success. Families, businesses, civic and school groups dedicated more than 3,200 hours collecting more than 20,100 pounds of litter and marine debris.

6. NATIONAL CLEANUP! Great American Cleanup…
Each year, more than 1,500 volunteers from every corner of Martin County join together as a part of the annual Great American Cleanup (GAC). Conducted nationally by Keep America Beautiful and its affiliates from March through May, and coordinated locally by Keep Martin Beautiful , the Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest, annual community improvement program. In addition to the typical beautification and litter removal efforts of the national campaign, KMB coordinates a series of community revitalization projects organized throughout the community as a part of its annual Extreme Martin Makeover.
