3 What is a Survey? A survey is to ask (many people) a question or a series of questions in order to gather information about what most people do or think about something. Can you think of an example of any surveys?

4 How can we keep track of results from a survey?

5 Tally Chart A tally chart is a table used to record data so that a mode or frequency can be established. All available scores are put into the table and the number of times each score is obtained marked down. They are useful for recording large amounts of data quickly.

6 Problem... If I wanted to find out how much time students spent on social networking sites, what could I do?

7 Steps... Develop a question
Develop choices for the answers (5 is a good number of questions) Put your data into a chart
