Pollution Pollution: contamination of the water, air or soil
SOURCES OF POLLUTION… Point Sources: Pollution discharged from a single source like a factory, oil tanker or sewage treatment plant. It is relatively easy to control because it is easily identified and traced. Sometimes it is difficult to enforce cleanup (e.g. if the company has moved away).

Pollution Non-Point Sources: Pollution that comes from many sources such as lakes contaminated by runoff from homes, lawns, farms, highways and factories. It is extremely difficult to regulate and control. Educating the public is the best way of reducing this type of pollution
