Long time ago, people believed that living things could come from anything. For example: they believed that mice came from straw. Also, they believed that worms came from meats.

Spontaneous generation: an idea that living things come from nonliving things.

4 Redi’s Experiment Control group Experimental group He believed that living things come from living things of the same kind. He did an experiment proving that living things did not come from non-living things.
