Let’s play a game! With a partner, you will play the “Track Star” game. Decide which partner will be “Jet Stream” and which partner will be “Whoosh” Cut out your player’s cards, shuffle them and place them face down on the corresponding box on the game board. Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis,

Let’s Play a Game! Whoosh’s player must draw the top card from their pile, read it to their partner, follow the directions and then place the card at the bottom of their pile. If the card instructs Whoosh to move back, and Whoosh is on the start block, then put this card at the bottom of the pile and pick a new card. Jet Stream’s player moves second, and follows the same rules as Whoosh. Alternate turns until someone wins the game. Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis,

What did you learn? With a partner, look at Jet Stream and Whoosh’s cards from the game. Put the cards that indicate successful saving/spending in one pile, and the ones that indicate unsuccessful spending/saving in the other pile.
