Gross Domestic Product of a country divided by total population – what does this mean, in simple terms? GDP Per Capita USA: about $50,000 SS. Africa: between $300 – $16,000 Why the discrepancy between the two?

Africa Maps Directions:
1. Using the GDP per capita guide for African states, color code your pre-labeled Africa map according to wealth. 2. Analyze your map: Where are the highest levels of wealth? Looking at the GDP guide, what is the highest GDP in Africa? Where is Zambia/What is its GDP (Map and list) – Circle it in Black 3. Think back: Why is the level of development in Africa so low?
