To assist in the redevelopment of properties that are dormant or underutilized due to liability associated with real or perceived contamination Purpose of the Brownfields Program

Program Eligibility Property must meet the definition of a “Brownfield” per the Small Business Liability Relief and Brownfields Revitalization Act (Brownfields Law)

Properties that are NOT Eligible: Federal property NPL / Superfund sites LUST sites Permitted sites Sites under orders

Program Eligibility- Applicant
Applicant must: Be a governmental entity or nonprofit Not be a Potentially Responsible Party as defined by CERCLA
