2. General Rules ØType on white 8.5“ x 11“ paper
Ø Double-space everything!
Ø Use 12 pt. Times New Roman font or Aerial
Ø Leave only one space after punctuation
Ø Set all margins to 1 inch on all sides
Ø Indent the first line of paragraphs one half-inch

3. More Rules ØHeader with page numbers in the upper right corner
ØUse italics for titles by other authors. Do not underline.

4. First page ØNo title page ØDouble space everything
ØIn the upper left corner of the 1st page, list your name, the date, your block, and the assignment
Ø Center the paper title (use standard caps but no underlining, italics, quote, or bold)
ØCreate a header in the upper right corner that includes your last name and page number

6. Open up your Constellations Email
Click on the 4 small boxes in the upper right corner (looks like a window)
Click on Drive (the triangle)
Click on New (red box on the left)
Scroll to Google Docs (blue paper symbol)
Create a new Doc

7. Create a header At the top, click “Insert” and scroll to header
Type your name, date, block #, and the assignment (this assignment is the Quotation Essay)
Now use your mouse to click off of the header
Somewhere below on the white document
You’ve created your header!!

8. Saving your Document
In the upper left corner you will see it says “untitled document”
Click on it and rename your file
First Name Last Name Assignment
Example: Kaila Phan Essay
This is how you will name ALL of your documents for this class
