At first people were not afraid of the Volcano and became accustomed to living near it The land was fertile for farming

There was a devastating foreshock that destroyed most of Pompeii No one expected it, and everyone was terrified!

4 17-years Later The eruption AD 79
After the initial Earthquake the people of Pompeii had spent the last 17-years rebuilding the town. The eruption took place over several hours, with different layers of the volcanic eruption Reconstruction:
