Hello! This is World Lit with Ms. Alexandra Yeganegi. Are you in the right place? Directions: 1) Pick up the three handouts from the back table. 2) Choose a SMART seat for yourself. Sit where you can succeed. 3) Put your schedule and transcript on the corner of your desk. 4) Read the letter.

Name Game Think of 2-3 different adjectives that start with the first letter of your name AND describe you. Example: My name is Alex. I am: - athletic - accommodating - affectionate

Syllabus & other info SCAVENGER HUNT
Please read through the syllabus, look around the classroom, and use your phone to access the class blog and complete the scavenger hunt handout. You may work alone or with a partner. Make note of any questions you have as you read through the syllabus.

Letters from former students
1) Write down the number of the letter you are reading. 2) Read the letter. 3) Jot down three important/interesting notes/facts from the letter. These could be about what you will learn, advice from the student, information about the class or the teacher, or whatever. You will have about 4 minutes for each letter. Then we will move on to the next step. Wait for directions!

Letter Partners: You will need a new partner for each round. Make sure you write down their name. #1: Write down two hobbies your partner has. #2: Write down two of your partner’s favorite foods. #3: Write down one thing your partner wants everyone to know about him/her, and one thing that most people don’t know about your partner. #4: Find and write down two things you and your partner have in common.

How to start this class with a 100…
1) Fill out the front and back of the handout. 2) Write the letter component for homework. 3) 100% completion = 100% grade (due tomorrow). 1) Finish your handout and the letter. 2) Get your syllabus sheet signed. 3) Work on getting your supplies. Homework/do tonight/due tomorrow
