LOOKING FOR IDENTITIES!!!
Substitute identities to simplify wherever possible

3. Trigonometric Equations
Realize, any algebra is fair game!
In addition to identities, You may have to use:
Distributive Property
Factoring
Rationalizing Denominators
Etc.
+ remember to look for ALL Possible solutions!!

4. Examples EX 1: Solve (sinx)(cosx)-(1/2)(cosx)=0
EX 2: Solve cos2x – cosx + 1 = sin2x
EX 3: Solve 2sec2x – tan4x = -1
