Persuasive (also called argumentive) Narrative

3  Exposition writing "explains" or "informs.“
Most of the writing we do is expository. When we do expository writing, we are exposing the reader to specific information.

4 Any time you write, type, or text anybody, any information, you are using expository writing.
Examples: essay, research paper, report, manual

5 Ever try to convince anyone of your point of view?
If you do any convincing verbally, that would be persuasive speaking. If you were to write those same words down, that would be persuasive writing.

6 Any time you need to write an essay or letter to convince people that your point of view is the right one. Politicians Writing a letter to the editor Job Applications Writing to request money from an organization

7 Narrative is storytelling
Doesn’t matter whether that story is fact or fiction. This is a good spot for descriptive writing, it allows you to set the scene for the reader. Examples: short story, novel, narrative poem, journal
