All of the essays were Analysis Essays! Most of you followed the structure and had clear organization! Several of you were very insightful about the meaning of the texts. Correctly naming the elements Explaining why the author used it Being Specific The Good & The Bad

Are all the parts present? Is it repetitive? How can you streamline it? Is the thesis clear? Body Are there three different claims, in three different paragraphs? Is the Evidence Introduced and cited? Did they explain how all the evidence is the element they claim it is? Did they explain how using the element in this way helps achieve the author’s purpose? Conclusion Did they revisit their thesis? Did they discuss how effective the piece was in achieving its goals in the period in which it was written, or for the audience that is reading it?
