1. Morris Water Maze Experiment
A rat is placed in a Morris water maze under three different conditions:
Training
The maze contains a submerged platform with a visible marker (video 1).
The maze contains a submerged platform without a visible marker (video 2).
Memory Test
The maze has no platform (video 3).

The platform has four poles with black-and-white stripes that serve as visible markers for the rat. You cannot see the poles because they are covered by a plain grey top. This is to ensure that the tracking software, which the camera feeds into, only tracks the swimming rat, not the poles.
