Support Your Church Clerk Local church elders play an important role in sustaining the morale and encouragement of various volunteer church workers. Keeping accurate records of the membership and major activities of a church is one way to maintain an efficient organization.

Reliability and Faithfulness In caring for all the clerical duties, and correspondences of the church. In attending all board and business meeting. In writing a record of the actions taken (minutes).

Maintain faithfully Records up to date. Information about membership, people added or dropped, church officers, and important information. Quarterly report to the local conference/mission.

Deacon and Deaconesses’ Work Help the poor and the sick. Give physical and spiritual support to church members. Have pleasant personalities. Regularly minister to many of the practical needs of church members and church property.

Deacon and Deaconesses’ Work Assist you in your ministry as an elder. Share leadership in administering the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Visit people in hospitals and prisons. When they bring their suggestions and requests to the church board give them your support.

10 Support Church Treasurer
Encourage the treasurer They are typically not only overworked, but under appreciated. Show and voice appreciation for them often.

11 Support Church Treasurer
Keep giving confidential Treasurers have a special responsibility to keep members’ giving confidential, except with those who share the responsibility of the work.

12 Support Church Treasurer
Keep money safe Handling God’s money is a sacred responsibility. When money is being counted, it is a wise practice for someone such as a deacon or deaconess to assist the treasurer. The money should be received in envelopes with the amounts and donor’s name included.

13 Support Church Treasurer
Keep money safe Envelopes are kept by the treasurer to show the auditor. Pastors, elders, and other church leaders should never ask the treasurer for money the treasurer has not been authorized to give them. Money given to the church is God’s money.
