Participate: Very relaxed environment. We have many open discussions. Hand raising is not always required.
Independent Reading is VERY important. In the end it is 3 test grades.
Come prepared: Binder, library book, pen/pencil
Respect: Everyone and Everything. Keep the room clean.
Website: Check the website. I try to put any homework assignments on there daily. Usually a link to examples, to stories and assignments, journal entries etc.

Independent Reading Comprehension Questions:
What is the exposition of your book (setting, central conflict, characters)?
Use adjectives to describe your main character. What is his/her personality?
What are some interesting events that have happened? Did anything surprise you?
What is an internal or external conflict in your book?
What is the theme or life lesson?
Have you noticed any foreshadowing (hints about the future) that helped you make predictions?
