Rewards Individual Rewards A student can earn a reward by moving up a space on the clip chart. This reward will be chosen by the teacher and it will be a privilege that would be special to the individual student. These are some examples, being allowed 15 minutes to listen to music, free reading, drawing or computer time. Instant rewards may also be given for answering a class question or being especially kind to another student. For example, candy or a small gift from the class room treasure box. Whole Group If the majority of the class has remained at or above the ready to learn portion of the chart for two weeks. The teacher will plan a field trip or class part. The class might go on a nature walk or visit the children's museum for a class party they might have a popcorn or pizza party.

Consequences. Individual
If a student breaks a classroom rule they will be move one space down the chart. If the student moves to the space of teacher’s choice the student might have a privilege taken away or be given a quiz about the classroom rules. If a student continues to break the rule their parent will be contacted by , phone or a parent teacher conference. For more serious rule breaking such as Stealing or harming another student they will be sent to the office. Whole Group If the majority of the class continuously has their clips moved towards the bottom of the chart the class will lose their chance to earn a pizza party or field trip for a whole week. Another consequence would be the removing of the class treasure chest from the classroom for three days.
