Utopia Describe your perfect world What is the society like?
Do people vote? Is one person in charge? What are the codes of conduct? Rules/values etc? Take two minutes to think of your answers. Then turn to the person beside you and interview them with these questions.

Where did the idea come from?
Greek word: oú (not) tóΠος (place) Utopia therefore means not an actual place, or not an existent society. First introduced by Sir Thomas Moore from his 1516 book Utopia about an island in the Atlantic Ocean. Utopian society's are usually related to: -nature and environment -peace -multicultural in accordance with the principles of the society -consensus style government.

What is a Utopia? Any real or imaginary society, place, state, etc, considered to be perfect or ideal. Possesses highly desirable or nearly perfect qualities for its citizens. If it is perfect, therefore there are no problems.

A utopian society is considered perfect. Brainstorm loopholes (traits that make it imperfect) in utopian societies (ex. Individual freedom etc.)
